Eugene Novogrodsky has proposed, and the “Well, sure!” part of us has concurred, that we plan and execute in the fall at an acceptable middle ground venue a meeting of NunnaYerBizness Today contributors with the business of reading our work. We think this a fine idea and would like to hear from the contributors themselves. So please comment on this notice and state your opinion and read the opinions of others and allow yourself to be swayed by sweet reason should you find it.
In the meantime, this is a perfect moment to remind poets and writers and performers of all stripes that there exists a monthly venue every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center Writers Forum at 225 E. Stenger in San Benito.
This is a low pressure, high acceptance group setting where you will feel encouraged to sign up to present your work. Readers are given up to ten minutes to present their work. There is often applause for a writer and for given works, but it is an agreed rule of the meeting that there is no criticism. Conversation and conviviality often follow the formal meetings. If you haven’t been there yet, it may be time to give yourself a treat and go.
