Don’t miss the Ann Moore Book Signing at IMAS on Thursday evening from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Ann is one of the heroes of the Valley Art Scene. She was one of the founders of IMAS in the early 1970s. She has also mingled with great artists of the world. Her book is called The Art of Collecting: The Legacy of Ann Moore.

McFUN BUS TRANSPORTATION
Summer McFun Program participants will be able to travel to recreation sites and swimming pools this year using McAllen Express. Persons 17 years and younger can ride the buses at NO CHARGE using the McFun Fare Bus Pass, if they are enrolled in any McAllen Parks and Recreation Program. Go to your classes, take a dip in the pool, visit the Library, participate in “Operation Imagination” at IMAS, or spend an afternoon at the gym. Check the bus routes for locations and times. Follows regular bus routes. Passes will be issued upon request, at the time of registration.
If you are using mail-in registration, just request a pass, and it will be sent to you in the mail.

The National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) recently selected Veronica Jaeger from Pharr to receive $2,000 for the 2007-2008 cycle of the NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA).
