A reminder

Writers are reminded of the opportunity for open reading this Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the Narciso Martínez Cultural Arts Center Writers Forum at 7 pm.

The meeting begins . Writers are allowed ten minutes each to read whatever they would like–their own work, that of major influences, a piece they have run across or revised recently, new work–whatever they would like. A few bring a guitar and present their songs. It is a most receptive audience.

The facilitators are Mel Hinojosa and Beto Conde, co-facilitators, the latter a founder, too, although Beto will be on a road trip this Tuesday and Eugene “Gene” Novogrodsky, former co-facilitator and founder, too, will be filling in for him.

If you’ve been writing and want to try your material out on an attentive audience, this is an excellent meeting to attend. See you there.
