Are you “… mad as hell, and … not gonna take it anymore!”?

While we have been struggling to relocate that Bhuddist idea about detachment–and we certainly didn’t leave it in the sock drawer–we ran into this video on the Alternet site. Bill Moyers is a hero to us and, we suspect, to a lot of other people. He is an honest man dedicated to reporting the truth to the best of his understanding. When they needed a definition for literature back in those eighth grade English classes we used to teach (and it didn’t always come up), we told folks that it was the ancient tradition of telling the truth and it was well worth studying. And joining in. Mr. Moyers is in that tradition.

Enough of me. Listen to Mr. Moyers. Warnings: It is 39 minutes long. It is not for wusses.

If you have a few more minutes, here is a nine-minute clip in which Moyers destroys a Fox News producer who was sent on an ‘ambush’ assignment to get an admission that Moyers was afraid to come on Bill O’Reilly’s show. It is shocking how badly the poor producer is beaten. He can’t hold his head at the end.
