The McAllen Chamber of Commerce and PalmFest present the 2nd annual McAllen Art & Film Festival October 4th & 5th at the McAllen Convention Center.
McALLEN, TX—The McAllen Chamber of Commerce has partnered up with PalmFest International Folklife Celebration to bring the Rio Grande Valley the 2nd Annual McAllen Art & Film Festival. The event will be held October 4th and 5th at the McAllen Convention Center Exhibit Hall. Witness over 160 artists, a fashion runway show, and independent films all happening at the McAllen Art & Film Festival.
Applications and submissions are still being accepted for consideration into the art festival, the fashion show, and the film festival. “Our application deadline is approaching quickly; we are still accepting applications until August 29th. We are looking for fashion designers who live in the four-county area of the Rio Grande Valley. We are accepting artists and films from around the world so we encourage all emerging artists to submit an application,” said Annabell Cortina, Dir. of Special Events & Media for the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. “The Art & Film Festival is an event created to pay tribute to artists from various fields. What a great opportunity for artists to get some exposure and a wonderful chance for the community to witness some extraordinary talent. The best way to become established as an artist is to get as much exposure as possible,” said Cortina.
Applications for artists who are interested in participating in the event are still being accepted until August 29th. Artists, filmmakers, and fashion designers are encouraged to submit their works for consideration.
The event is free and open to the public to attend on October 4th and 5th. The Art & Film Festival consists of a stage for music and performing arts, an art exhibition of 160 artists, a film festival, and runway show.
