A note from Virginia Gause

McAllen Memorial Library is looking for painters and sculptors who would like like to exhibit at the Nov. 7 ArtWalk.

ArtWalk nights are on the first Friday of each month (except June, July and August) from 6 to 10 p.m. Set-up is between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Take down starts at 9:45 p.m.

McAllen Memorial Library does not charge booth rent or commissions since it is a non-profit entity. The other venues must charge a commission in order to cover the expenses incurred by participating in ArtWalk.

We do ask that artists either not display nudes or let them be approved before exhibiting….since there will be children present at these exhibits.

Our theme for the Nov. 7 ArtWalk is Day of the Dead.
