AUDITIONS FOR LAST SPRING MAINSTAGE PLAY AT UTPA

University Theatre Productions, at the University of Texas Pan American, has just scheduled auditions for comedy PLAZA SUITE, Monday and Tuesday, March 9th and 10th in the Jeffer’s Theatre, of the Communication Arts & Science Building. (corner of University Drive & Sugar Road)

Auditions will begin each night at 7:00 p.m. Those who bring a head shot and resume will be seen first.

Director Trey Mikolasky is looking for a cast of 5-7 men ages 20-50 and 3-5 women ages 20-50.

Actors may perform a monologue of one minute from any play other than Plaza Suite, but that is not necessary. Passages from the play will be available for reading at the auditions.

Scripts are available at the University Theatre box office and may be checked out for a brief time for a ten dollar refundable deposit

No experience is necessary, but each person must bring a copy of their spring work/school schedule to develop a rehearsal schedule.

Due to time constrictions and rehearsal schedules, High school students will be unable to audition.

The production will be performed at the Albert L. Jeffers April 22-26, 2009.
